Good Morning,
I hope everyone is off to a great 2025 school year.
Here are some notes as we approach the halfway mark of the spring semester:

Spring 2025 Commencement will be here before we know it!
Ceremony Details

Summer 2025 Commencement is being moved from Saturday, August 2nd to Friday, August 1st at 2 pm. The academic calendar will be updated to reflect this change.

Spring 2025 Cardinal View will be Saturday, March 1.

For information on the Cardinal Connect Laptop Loaner Program, which provides free laptop checkout for students:
Please have students email itlabprinting@garfie1d.com or direct them to room 403 or 409 in the Mary and John Gray Library.

The College of Education and the College of Arts and Sciences have partnered with Jefferson County to launch a new initiative aimed at providing crucial support to first-time juvenile offenders and reducing recidivism. The First-Time Offenders Redirection Management (F.O.R.M.) Program, set to begin in Jan. 2025, will focus on helping young participants build the skills and resources needed to succeed academically and personally.

Speech and Hearing Sciences (SPHS) Assistant Professor, Dr. Karen Whisenhunt Saar, in collaboration with several LU student orgs, will host an Alzheimer’s Association/LU Student Summit in the Price Auditorium on April 4 from 10-12. This student summit will provide a brief glimpse into several LU majors that lead to professions that serve people with Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementias (ADRD).
